Scott, You truly inspire me to be a furniture builder of 18th Century furniture. I've done a lot of built in's and finish carpentry work for others, but this year I'm turning the corner and going to focus on the type of projects I've seen you build. Thanks for exposing me to George Reid as well. I never had a grandfather like Mr. Reid, but he's inspirational to me as well, and I take to heart many of the things he's said on your previous episodes when you have included him. ~ Paul Comi, Los Angeles
P.S. - Where did you get that little square you used to use all the time in your previous episodes? It is both a 90 and 45 and I've never seen one like it anywhere. Its a small sort of triangular shaped solid piece of metal that sure looks like it would be handy and I believe you also use it as a 6" straightedge.
Hi Paul, Thanks for you support! George Reid was the man who really got me going on early American designs. He always was traveling to the very best shops to see the right techniques. His quote, "How can you make it if you don't know its history?" has sent me on my woodworking journey. I am blessed to be able to explore furniture design around the world and share what I learn on PBS. Your words of encouragement mean a lot to me!
The square you mentioned, I made. I work with wood first, then glass, metal, and stone gets me going. So the square is just something that I made. It is handy but it is one of a kind. ~ A kindred spirit, Scott
Do you intend to put the episodes on DVD and sell to the public?? ~ Lee
Lee, I am hoping that we can just put them on the web for free. DVD's get expensive, so look for more American Woodshop shows on the web for free in the coming months. ~ Thanks, hope this helps, Scott

I saw your interview on the Popular Woodworking web site. You gave a web site address to watch your show after it aired. I have not been able to find where to view your show. Can you help me out.~ Thanks Jason
Hi Jason, Right now, only Season 14 episodes of the American Woodshop are available online. I am working on previous episode distribution deals and hope to get some of the older programs up online sometime in the coming year, so keep checking back. Thanks for writing and watching American Woodshop! Season 15 is in the works! ~ Scott

Hi Scott, It was really great seeing you again and attending your demonstrations at Johnson’s Workbench. A very big thank you. Is there a way to view any of your previous years of episodes? ~ Bill Teeple, IN
Hi Bill, It is always good to be together! I am working on previous episode distribution deals right now. I thought our new website would be perfect for this. We are still working on just how to make it all come together. Until the next time! I will have a way to view old shows up within 6 months. ~
Scott
